Emergency call-outs
How quickly do you arrive in an emergency?
Do you come out at night in an emergency?
Yes, the emergency service runs 24 hours a day. You always receive the price in advance, before the work begins.
What counts as an electrical emergency?
Emergencies include: a complete power cut, smoke or a burning smell from the wiring, sparks from sockets or switches, lost earthing (current in metal parts), cables damaged after a storm, or a fault before an important event.
What should I do while I wait for an electrician?
If there is smoke or a burning smell - switch off the main fuse immediately. Do not touch damaged cables or sockets. Keep children and pets away from the faulty area. Never make makeshift repairs yourself.
Distribution boards and RCD protection
Why should I replace an old distribution board?
Old boards with ceramic (fusible) fuses react slowly when a fault occurs and do not protect people from electric shock. A modern replacement with circuit breakers and RCD protection significantly increases the safety of the wiring. Read our guide 7 signs you need a new distribution board.
What is RCD protection and do I need it?
A FID (Fault Current Device) or FI protective device is a device that cuts off the current within 30 milliseconds when there is leakage (current passing through a person or to earth). It is mandatory under modern safety standards and it saves lives. More in our detailed guide to RCD protection.
How much does replacing a distribution board cost?
The price depends on the capacity of the board, the number of circuits, the type of fuses and whether new cabling is needed. For an accurate estimate in Skopje call 070 393 045 - we come out for a free inspection. Find out more about our distribution board replacement service.
LED lighting and EV chargers
Is it worth switching to LED lighting?
Yes, LED lighting uses 6-7 times less electricity than conventional bulbs, and lasts 25-50 times longer. The investment pays for itself in less than a year, and after that it is pure saving. See our LED vs ordinary bulb calculation.
Can you install a charger for an electric car?
Yes, we install AC chargers (11kW and 22kW) for home garages, parking spaces in residential buildings, and commercial car parks. The work includes a dedicated circuit, protection and a certificate. Read more in our guide EV charger for the home.
Safety and maintenance
How do I know if my wiring is overloaded?
The signs of overloaded wiring are: warm sockets, fuses tripping often, lights dimming when larger appliances switch on, or sparking. If you notice any of these signs, call an electrician.
How often should the wiring be inspected?
For domestic wiring we recommend an inspection every 5-10 years. For buildings older than 25 years - every 3 years. For business premises and industrial buildings at least once a year, and often under a signed contract for regular maintenance.
Business clients
Do you work with businesses?
Yes, we have regular business partnerships with companies, restaurants, shops, small industrial facilities and commercial enterprises. We also offer regular maintenance contracts with priority call-out when a fault occurs.
